Giving hope to youth at risk of suicide,
and those living with its effects
Albie House will be a place where “at risk” youth can access support and guidance 24/7 in a nurturing, non-clinical secure environment. Those left in the wake of suicide often feel lost and alone in their grief. Albie House will be a place where they can connect with others who understand.
Albie House Quiz Night was a fantastic success. With 650 people in attendance, we raised $34,494.99!
Hobart Hash House Harriers - Full Moon, had a red dress run on the 23 March 2013 and raised $4780 for Albie House!
May 2013 - Albie House is mentioned by Jack Reiwoldt on the Footy Show!
In partnership with Lifeline Tasmania
Albert (Amanda’s son) was 16 years old when he suicided. No one saw any warning signs. There was no depression or mental illness. Everything in his life appeared fantastic. His amazing smile and caring nature “maybe” hid his true feelings. All Amanda’s dreams for Albert and her family have changed forever. Her goal is to build Albie House as she wants to prevent others from having to “survive” a life like hers.
"I lost my beautiful son Albert to suicide and now I’m fundraising to build a 24/7 safe house.
Albie House will be a nurturing place that will help save lives and support those left behind"
